Meditation and Prayer Service- Wednesday at 7:00pm:

  • Facilitated by Ministers, Licensed Unity Teachers and Chaplains

  • Everyone is welcome to join us at the church

  • Wednesdays from   7–7:45 p.m.

The Wednesday evening Meditation and Prayer service is about prayer as well as meditation. Prayer works through us and is the Unity healing process. The very foundation of Unity, as demonstrated by its founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, is clear-Prayer works through us, as we come in contact with the healing presence within us. Healing is not something done to us or for us, when we come in contact with the center of our being through prayer and meditation, connection to the Christ presence within each and every on of us create our healing power through prayer and meditation. This is a wonderful way to enjoy life at a higher level, step by step and to strengthen our inner God-given powers and gifts to share with the world.

Chaplain Corner by Barbara Hansen

As our dedication song goes:  “Here I am Lord, it is I Lord, I have heard you calling in the night.  I will follow where you lead me, I will hold your people in my heart.”  In the past several months, the newest group of chaplains have been busy.  We are all conscientiously working to serve the needs of this spirtual family with grace and connection.  We have been learning and practicing and praying.  Look forward to our Wellness Calling to support you in prayer  and to hold you in our hearts.  We are here for you and we hold you in God’s light, love and power, presence and grace.

Winifred Richardson, Chaplain Coordinator

It is truly a privilege and a blessing to serve our church family as Chaplain Coordinator.

Winifred Richardson, Chaplain CoordiinatorI have been a chaplain in many organizations and a Unity chaplain for 14 years which has enriched, deepened and  strengthened my prayer life immeasurably.

We have new chaplains to serve you and support you through prayer on yours life’s journey and we welcome you to our new chaplain Prayer Room where we have a sacred private place to support you in prayer in times of challenges  and times of gladness and celebration.   My ministry is chaplaincy and it is a joy to pray for the highest and best good for all in our Unity church family. . Prayer power is healing, wholeness and love and prayer is our powerful connection to God through the Christ presence within us.   Many thanks to Revs. Ken Murdock and Denese Schellink for their support in creating the Prayer Room nest to the Sanctuary, where we are available to pray with you on Wednesdays and Sundays after service.

The chaplains of our church are available to pray with you and to listen to your concerns, and the challenges in your life.  Our chaplains do so with love and confidentiality. To leave a message for the chaplains, please call 707-447-0521, and select mailbox #6.

We also have available prayer request forms that you may fill out and put in the prayer box located at the kiosk in the foyer.

If you are in need of prayer, anytime day or night, please call the prayer line at 707- 447-2731, to listen and relax knowing God is with you all the time and wants to comfort you in the light of his love.

Unity had its start with the prayer work of Myrtle Fillmore and continues today through the work of Silent Unity, the Daily Word magazine, individuals and prayer groups in most Unity churches.  Lay chaplains in these churches, by training in the hows and whys of prayer and working to become more familiar and comfortable with the use of prayer, and can serve as helpers in the process of prayer, can serve as helpers in the process of reminding us all of our ever present God-connectedness.
